 Climate
The sub-tropical Sunshine Coast averages 12 hours of sunlight daily, one of the highest ratings in the world. The region enjoys a temperate climate, which is ideal for outdoor events and activities virtually year round.

Be sun smart, the Australian sun is very strong and whilst we want you to enjoy our climate we recommend the use of sun block, sun hats and adequate clothing to guard against any possible sun damage. Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat. Slip, slop, slap!

Clothing
In keeping with the relaxed lifestyle, smart casual clothing is standard. A jacket or jumper may be required during winter, especially in the evenings.

Disabled services
Many public areas, shopping centres, hotels, apartments, attractions and restaurants provide disabled services and facilities.

Medical services

Public hospitals are located at Caloundra and Nambour. Private hospitals are located at Caloundra, Buderim, Noosa and Nambour. 24 hour medical centres are located throughout the Sunshine Coast and many hotels and resorts have doctors on call. Dialling 000 will reach emergency services.

Daylight saving is not observed in Queensland.
