Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is located just one hour’s drive North of the Queensland capital city of Brisbane. The Sunshine Coast includes the coastal communities of Caloundra, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Coolum Beach, Noosa, Rainbow Beach and Tin Can Bay. The Hinterland region to the near west includes the Glass House Mountains, Blackall Range, Noosa Hinterland and Mary Valley.
The Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY) services the Sunshine Coast with regular daily services from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide using Jetstar, and Virgin Blue.
Brisbane Airport (BNE) is the domestic and international gateway to Queensland with more than 200 flights daily from around the globe. The domestic and international terminals are located within close proximity of each other, allowing hassle free transfers within just minutes.
The Bruce Highway, the main road north to the Sunshine Coast, is well located for easy access from Brisbane domestic and international air terminals. All major car rental companies are represented at the airport together with taxi, coach and rail transfers.
Regular Queensland Rail train services operate from Brisbane Central station to the Sunshine Coast stopping at Hinterland townships. |
