The Sunshine Coast Convention Bureau is committed to protecting user privacy. We understand and appreciate that visitors and users of this website are concerned about their privacy and confidentiality and security of any information that may be provided to us.

The types of information we collect about you will depend on the services you use or the information you acquire. This may include collecting your name and address, your e-mail address and company if applicable.

The information we collect about you is used to help you access the services or acquire periodical information that the SCCB provides. The information we collect is strictly confidential. We do not sell, rent, loan, trade or lease the addresses stored in our database to any third parties. We may disclose the personal information, other information or data we collect from you if:

• you give us your consent; or

• you would reasonably expect us to disclose it for another purpose, and that other purpose is related to the purpose specified to you at the time of collection.

In this way we may use your information to send you promotional material which you may find of interest. If you do not wish to receive any of this material you may choose to unsubscribe from our mailing lists and no further material will be sent to you.

Any personal information that we collect about customers including e-mail addresses will be kept in a database at the Sunshine Coast Convention Bureau.

Once we receive personal information from you, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that all information we collect, use or disclose is accurate, up to date and stored in a secure environment and accessed only by authorised persons.

The Sunshine Coast Convention Bureau adheres to the following Privacy Principles:

5. If we have information on file, you can ask to access a copy of it. You may also wish to apply to amend the information if you believe it to be incomplete, inaccurate, irrelevant, out of date or misleading. There is no charge for an individual to seek access to or apply to amend their personal information. However, your right of access to and amendment of personal information is subject to exceptions provided under relevant Federal and State laws.
